Kenya rioting death toll at 125 Mon, 31 Dec 2007 09:57:30 -0800 (PST) Please note that the numbers are likely higher since the imposed Kibaki government--which the U.S. and the EU have both refused to recognize as legitimate--has blacked out the media. Currently media are portraying this is a Luo versus Kikuyu battle, but there is rioting in Mombasa, in Eldoret, and elsewhere. This kind of media portrayal can only foster stereotyping and we must address it at all turns. The majority of Kenyans did not vote for Kibaki. It is, therefore, not surprising that Kenyans from other ethnic groups have joined the struggle. The death toll of 125 is from this article by the Associate Press: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071231/ap_on_re_af/kenya_elections Peace, Annah
