If you already have a working CBO in place, contact Mr. Job Obwaka jobwaka@engenderhealth.org with specific request for your village or clan. He is the Kenya project contact person with Engender Health who are the successful grant recipient. Let us know what response you get from him. Also available for Nyanza, government Community Development Funds (CDF) whose patron is your constituency MP. Again, with your village/clan CBO in place, and a viable project needing funds, go get your money. These funds should be utilized equitably in the constituency villages/clans. Let us know your success or failure. An American large scale farmer is interested in creating employment in your village/clan by doing commercial grain farming on at least 100 contiguous acres. I think the way to proceed is for your local CBO to gain access to the 100+ acres either through direct buy (CDF?) or by engaging the village/clan elders to rearrange your village until you get enough contiguous acreage for commercial farming.
