I'm Beryl Matete, a Luo living in New Zealand. I have been to your website and I think what you are doing is very positive and beneficial in several ways. I
especially like the online Luo-English dictionary that you are compiling.

The plan to trace and fill in the blanks in our roots and to have an account to the whole Luo family tree is inspired. However I feel that it should not stop there. As a JaLuo living in a foreign country, I feel that our culture (especially our ancient culture -music, dance, traditions etc should be made more widely known) I feel that in tracing our history, these vital aspects should not be forgotten, as they are what make us Luo, they are what give us an identity, and in some way a purpose.

  Yours sincerely
  Beryl Matete
