I would like to categorically support Hon. Oloo Aringo's view on current crops of MPs from Luoland.They are actually amateurs as he put it, who can't help market Raila Odinga's presidential bid nationally.They are colourless by extension as majority of them lacks independent agenda.They are no think-tank of national acumen.
If there are other means they can help Langa'ata MP then be it, but none except Gerald Otieno Kajwang' and Pro. Peter Anyang Nyong'o fit the bill.Aringo's call invoke the time of late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga when he was Ford-K chairman and Official Opposition leader.We had the calibre of Prof.Ouma Muga,Prof. Peter Anyang' Nyongo',James Orengo, Dr. Otieno K'opiyo,Linus Aluoch Polo, George Kapten,Prof. Rashid Mzee, Gitobu Imanyara among others.
Unlike the current scenario where colourlessness is receiprocated by blind loyalty without substance. They are a live and kicking only when Raila is around. None is capable of moving a substantive motion or contribution in Parliament unlike during Ford-K when for example Dr. Otieno K'opiyo moved successfully 14 motions.
I urge Nyanza electorate to watch out because Raila is lacking a formidable influential and resourcefull political personnel from his backyard to help boost his national image.It makes me literally feel the absence of the late Joab Henry Onyango Omino former Kisumu Town West MP. We are in dire need of Otieno Kajwang' and Nyongo cadre.
