PLANS TO TAME RAILA ODINGA IN NYANZA IS HATCHED BY NARC-KENYA LEADERS AND THEIR LUO AGENTS

Plans to scuttle the influence of the Luo political kingpin Raila Odinga in his
stronghold Luo-Nyanza is said to have been hatched by outsiders working in
collaboration with the few sympathizers of Narc-Kenya in the region.

The scheme, according to an impeccable source involves sponsoring strong
candidates aspiring for parliamentary and civic seats in various constituencies
inside Luo-Nyanza to subvert and destabilize Raila's loyalists.

Targeted are those constituencies represented by Raila loyalists and outspoken
ODM-K front runners. Their opponents in the year 2007 will be heavily loaded
with dirty money.

Topping the list of targeted Raila main political pillars in Nyanza is Karachuonyo MP Dr.P.Adhu Awiti in Rachuonyo district.The incumbent is, a staunch supporter of Mr. Odinga. This is followed by Mbita whose incumbent is the outspoken Otieno Kajwang'.

Contacted,one of the prominent LDP leaders in Nyanza dismissed the alleged plot to oust Luo MP loyal to Mr.Odinga saying "let the hungry people eat and enjoy any free money but the anti Odinga element stand no chances of winning any seat in Luo land"

"Agwambo said Mr.Odunge Randa the LDP regional organizer is a man of the people .those acting as agents of the outsiders will be taught a big lesson by our
electorate when the election time comes" he added

Those privy to Nyanza politics have pointed an accusing finger at the Foreign
Minister Raphael Tuju who is said to be working cohorts with politicians from
the Mt Kenya region in a grand scheme to scuffle Raila's  power clout in Luo Nyanza

Tuju is said to be working closely with former Raila's PA Herbent Ojwang and the recently nominated Narc member of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA)  Mr.Otieno Karan and a number of disgruntled small time politicians in Luoland in a concerted efforts to unseat Railas keymen and replace them with a bunch of apologists
 
Also listed under similar scheme to be shutted out of Parliament are Ndhiwa,
Rangwe, Kisumu Rural and Rongo MPs. Raila's political enemies wanted these six MPs from Luo-Nyanza out of parliament comes the next general election at all cost.

By sponsoring candidates who could defeat Prof. Anyang' Nyong'o, MP
(KisumuRural), Eng Philip Okundi (Rangwe). Joshua Orwa Ojode (Ndhiwa), George Ochillo Ayacko (Rongo) the conspirators think they would be able to clip of the wings of "Agwambo" and considerably reduce his influence and hold on the Lou community.

Rumours making the round is that a certain numbers of new aspirants for the
constituencies named above have been selected for the most intriguing job.
Millions of shillings is reportedly set aside by Raila political enemies to
facilitate the campaign strategies for those tipped to beat his key men at the
next polls.

A number of new aspirants who have been earmarked to do the dirty trick are said to be now swimming in millions of shillings made available to them by those who are out to undercut the "Agwambo" influence in Luo-Nyanza

An unnamed cabinet minister from Nyanza is said to have been involved in behind the scene series of secret meetings both in Kisumu and Nairobi where plans are hatched about the strategies on how to tame the LDP de facto leader whose support in Luo land is almost on a man to man.

In Karachuonyo constituency a candidate suspected to be a Narc-K sympathizer is already at work .He is said to be loaded with millions of shillings which he is dishing out to the electorate generously .Another Narc-K sympathizer is reported to have already launched his campaign in Kisumu Rural Constituency to unseat the ODM-K Secretary General Prof. Anyang'Nyongo. The man is said to be a retired former head of a parastatal organization .He too is loaded with dirty money.

In Rangwe constituency more than two conspirators are already there out to cut the incumbent MP Eng.Philip Okundi to sizes.The group is headed by one aspirant who is based in Mombasa.The group campaign strategies include to discredit the MP over his performance and disbursement of the contentious CDF money.

Okundi is well known as a loyal lieutenant of Raila Odinga.In the same Homa-Bay district, Joshua Orwa Ojode, another Raila loyalist is also under pressure for the removal. A combine force of four aspirants who hails from the dominant sub clans like Kabuoch and Kanyamwa have been briefed and detailed on the job.  Colossal amount of money is said to have exchanged hands mainly for the purpose of taming Ojode.

Anti-Ojode elements have made futile attempt to discredit the MP by spreading
venomous rumours that the legislature was moderately leaning towards the Narc-K and the Governemnt.After failing to achieve its objective, the group is now reported to have resorted to character assassination against the legislature and are now embarked mobilization of sub-clans by way of poisoning the cordial relationship which has existed between the various communities and sub clans living in Ndhiwa for many years.

In Mbita a candidate  suspected to be a sympathizer of Narc-K is said to be
loaded with millions ready to spend the  money to corrupt the electorate against
Otieno Kajwang'.The aspirant identity however remained a mystery as no source is willing to divulge it. One more aspirant would sprung up against the incumbent.  He too is said to be on the pay-roll of powerful anti-Raila forces
Kajwang only undoing and mistake is his unswerving and tireless support for
"Agwambo" and his outspokenness. He is said to be totally committed to the on going law reforms before the next elections

In Rongo the youthful legislature George Ochillo Ayacko is another endangered MP in the list of those who will face the wrath of Narc-K. An influential woman
aspirant is alleged to be in the process of being identified by Raila enemies for funding to enable her to oust Ayacko who has represented the constituency
ever since the year 2002.He is one of the most formidable supporters of Mr. Odinga.

Another strong candidate is being sought for to oust Raila'a elder brother Dr. Oburu Oginga in Bondo .The legislature is well known for coming out with his
gun blazing in support of his younger brother whenever the latter come under
severe and scathing attack from his enemies.The elder Odinga is a moderate MP who works hard for the electorate.

The anti-Odinga group however, has yet to settle on a specific candidate for
Bondo.But they are said to be still shopping for one .In their shopping list
includes several personalities from Usenge and Usigu divisions in Bondo district
whose inhabitants are known as Jo-Yimbo.The Jo-Yimbo sub-clans are somehowly minority compared with the dominant Sakwa group in which the MP belonged to.Dr.Odinga is married from Yimbo where his wife Dr.Anne Oburu hails from Usigu Division, and the community has in the past elections voted for Dr.Oginga almost on a man to man

The anti-Raila conspirators are said to have decided not to misuse their resources on less important MPs from Lou-Nyanza, especially those whose
performances on national issues are considered to be less lethal. And the group
is said to have resolved not to bother about those whose popularity with the
electorate are said to have waned.

But in order not to take chances in getting pro-Raila MPs out of parliament, the
group will go full length to sponsor more candidates in other constituencies to
battle it out with pro-Rail elements.

A colossal amount of money estimates to be in excess of Kshs. 300 million is
said to have been set aside for the purpose of subverting Raila's most outspoken comrades from Luo-Nyanza. Two perennial election losers in both Rongo and Muhoroni constituencies are allegedly listed as those who will benefit from anti-Raila campaign kitty.

There are significant symptoms to confirm these rumours and speculations about Parliament aspirants to be sponsored by forces hostile to Raila Odinga. The symptoms surfaced during the recent LDP grassroots elections in Nyanza .Alot of money was poured around to unseat those heading at the branches who are allied to pro-Raila MPs

Raila's political enemies who would like to see his enormous  clout on the Luos
trimmed are said to be not only in Narc-K but also said to be actively operating
behind the scenes within the ODM-K itself.

Agwambo is facing stiff competition from the party's presidential tucked with
more than 5 aspirants for the highest seat on the land. His other rival included
former vice president Musalia Mudavadi,Mvita MP Najib Balala ,,Mwingi South MP Kalonzo Musyoka,Eldoret Noth MP William Ruto,Dr.Julia Ojiambo of the labour Party and Uhuru Kenyatta.
