FIRE RAZES KISUMU LAUNDRY SHOP

  Thousands of residents of the lakeside city of Kisumu woke up this morning to
a shocking news when fire gutted the popular laundry shop in town.
 
  The fire that is believed to have started at 8.30 a.m swept through the WHITE
ROSE laundry housed in Tivoli centre, situated along the court road opposite the kenya commercial bank.
 
  Curious onlookers gathered at the premises of the incident with the some
laundry shop workers and esteemed customers weeping uncontrollably,
understandably the employees mourning about the risk of loosing jobs and the
customers the loss of their clothes that they were yet to collect.
 
  Through the combined force of fire fighters from kisumu's city council and
airport managed to put out the fire which appeared unrelenting,initially.
 
  The cause of the fire which the police authorities said is yet to be established,is highly suspected to have been caused by an electric fault.
 
  The tragedy comes hot on the heels of another fire that razed a Kisumu bar
GATIBA which is adjacent to Lake View Hotel, off the prestigious Oginga Odinga street. And its cause too, still remains unknown.
