Kenya government and the opposition shortchanging the diaspora.

I have read recently in the media that the remittance from Kenyans in diaspora exceeds all the foreign aid Kenya is receiving. If this is true, why are the Kenyans in diaspora treated so contemptuously by both the government and the opposition? You would think that such an economic power would receive some recognition from the government and/or the opposition. Like laws getting enacted to allow the diaspora to vote. Like dual citizenship being allowed by law. I am dismayed to see politicians from both sides of the political divide trekking to the diaspora looking for campaign cash, yet conspicuously absent from their agenda is enacting a bill that would allow the Kenyans in diaspora to participate fully in the general elections. This is unfair. We are being used by these greedy politicians, with no returns on our investments.

Remedy:
1. Let us all boycott their fund raisings.
2. Let us in solidarity remit no funds to Kenya in the month of March.
I bet you these will get their attention to do something for the diaspora also.
