Re: Development Record of Kibaki Government: The campaign pitch

George,

The time for reckoning is nigh. We have been fed on a lot of propaganda in the last one year about all that President Kibaki thinks he has done. All that must now be brought to the court of public justice for scrutiny and final judgement.

Assuming I am the Judge now, because I am one of those who will influence many people to judge Kibaki the way I want to Judge him.

Economy; This is what Kibaki and his team would want to die with. I have gone to most parts of Kenya to seek their opinion about this feel good attitude kibaki and his team keep singing about an improved economy, and I have found only four areas which have recorded maginal growth, not because of Kibaki, but because of conditions well beyond the reach or influence of Kibaki.

Agriculture performed well because of horticulture. The people who have the capacity to engage in horticulture are only the rich and mostly foreigners. All flower farms in Kenya have foreign connections. This area made some growth, and all that growth was to the benefit of the foreign owners. All Kenyans who work in these farms are as poor as they were when Kibaki assumed the presidency. This means that their buying power has gone down drastically, because Kibaki has presided over an economy that ensures that the cost of basic items keep going up without any corresponding increase in salaries.

The second area that the economy has shown signs of improvement is in the IT business. This is also foreign propelled and of no benefit to Kenyans.

The third area is in the tourism industry. Again, all the tourists hotels are owned by foreigners, and a few wealthy Kenyans from the current ruling class. As more tourists visit Kenya, the foreign bank accounts of the owners keep swelling. This creates an improved economic situation for the country, while in real terms, it only increases the economic well being of the fat cats. Tell me, when did the workers at all these tourists joints get a salary increase in direct correspondence to the current growths.

Education; Kibaki has really touted this as his second single most successful project. I want to differ, for this is a total failure despite the massive money put into it by donors. All this money has gone into questionable projects. Most of the pupils who flocked into primary schools thinking that it was free went back into what they were doing before. There were as many as 100 pupils in a single classroom, something which is way beyond effective education.

Again teachers are teaching as many as four different subjects in as many as five classes. The load on the teacher alone is a sure recipe for failure. Take this and add to Kibaki's wisdom that it was only Kikuyus who could manage free primary education, and you get the total mix am talking about. How can all the 12 senior officers in this ministry come from Central Kenya? Fred Gumo had to be removed quickly because he was spoling the broth. He started to ask how bursery was being given out to Kikuyus only, and that made Kibaki remove him there like lightening.

Judiciary: immediately Kibaki took over, Kiraitu Murungi came up with something they called radical surgery. With the benefit hindsight, Kenyans have now seen that there was nothing radical about the surgery. Kibaki simple got a willing hatchet man in Aaron Ringera, and a fine conspirator in Kiraitu, to Kikuyunise the judiciary. Evan Gicheru was made Chief Justice, and in his reign, he was to turn a blind eye to Kibaki and his team breaking the law, disobeying court orders, and instituting a culture of impunity.

Aaron Ringera was to be bribed with some 4million job a month to fight some imaginery corruption. The end result was Kibaki and his team ripping the country off, and Aaron Ringera asking for evidence before he can do anything. The other loud mouth called Mutava Musyimi, a man of God, had his mouth stuffed full, and he decided to remain peaceful forever.

Ivestment; With Kibaki taking over, a new group of investors hit Nairobi; The Trans Century Group. These men, for they are all men, went buying off the government in almost any divestiture. They are everywhere. Do you want to tell me Kibaki is not behind this group?

I can go on and on, but on the foregoing issues, as the sitting judge, I find Kibaki has failed Kenyans. he has taken Kenyans as wapumbavu, and defacated on our collective good will. He has used his office to promote tribalism and corruption against the collective will of Kenyans.

He has maligned Kenyans by thinking that we are not intelligent enough to understand his side shows. He has betrayed the trust upon which Kenyans gave him his job. I therefore find him incapable of seeking another term in office. kenyans must now do the right thing and remove this man from office, latest by December 29th 2007. He shall have served his term in full by then.

I therefore find him guilty, and sentence him to a period of rest, effective 29th Dec 2007.

Development Record of Kibaki Government:The campaign pitch

Its campaign year and everyone is qualified to give a speech on the development record of President Kibaki. It?s true we have limited data for comparative analysis of government performances under different presidents. We have only had three presidents in history, Mzee Kenyatta, Raisi Moi and President Kibaki. If logics were to hold and history to confirm, leaders have served the electorate better in their first term than subsequent terms in office.
