Subject: KER LOST MEANING AMONG THE LUO LONG TIME AGO

Asomo barua moro e mbui ni ma castigate muhoroni MP for not having showed suffcicient respect to a Ker during a funeral in Muhoroni. It appears the writer does not just like the MP, and should say that instead of hiding behind a perceived disrespect for ker. I am not an admirer of the Muhoroni MP, I am not from Muhoroni neither do I feel competent to appraise his suitability to the Muhoroni people as an MP.

But I find this Ker song overplayed, boring and unrealistic. The current Luo, especially the youth do not identify with the so called Ker and do not feel any attachment or presence of him. They do not even care what he says or not say, leave alone who he is and where he lives, and how he was picked/handpicked. the fact of the matter is that Ker in Luo was revived to be used as a political rallying point AND NOT for any cultural emancipation.

Those who do not believe this better try a referendum. Ker gini go mago gik ma outdated ma should not even waste out time or energies. Raila Odinga is easily the most known and talked about Luo. He is also the most influential and therefore can act as an agent of change far more fruitfully than the so called Ker. KER NO TO KARE OSETIMO ANGO NE JOLUO?
