LDP Embakasi Branch, now in place

After months of confontations, negotiations, and meetings, I am pleased to tell the world, that LDP Embakasi Branch elected their officials yesterday 10th February 2007.

We at Embakasi must thank Cllr Okeyo Mbata of Kayole ward for his consistency in the search for an amicable solution to the impasse. We must also thank Mr Lameck Siage and Mr Irshad Sumra, for swallowing their pride, and agreeing to meet the 9 ward chairmen from Embakasi Branch.

In yesterdays meeting, the 11 wards of Embakasi were represented thus;

5] Savanna.................................Mr Fred Muhanji, LDP Ward Chairman.
6] Kariobangi South.....................Mr Michael Kenyanyi, LDP Ward Chairman.
7] Ruai.......................................Mr Peter Mwangi, LDP Ward Chairman.
8] Njiru.......................................Mr Elijah Sekah, LDP Ward Chairman.
9] Dandora B..............................Mr Dickson Nyaronyi, LDP Ward Chairman.
10] Dandora A............................Mrs Jacinta Mwangi, LDP Ward Chairlady
11] Did not complete their ward elections, hence no office.

Also in attendance were Mr Lameck Siage and Mr Irshad Sumra, and other ward delegates.

It was unanimously agreed that the executive office will comprise the following people;

Now that we have been given the mandate by the party followers, we shall officially constitute on Wednesday at 10.00am at Kayole Social Hall, and thereafter set our agenda.

We will also now call on our Kanu and Labour Party of Kenya colleagues for a consultative meeting, where we shall form a formidable ODM-K team in Embakasi, a team that will surely send Hon David Mwenje home, come December 2007.

We will also vet all those who campaigned against us at the referendum of 2005. There are a lot of political busy bodies who joined the Orange team for convenience, and then decamped to the banana camp, and campaigned for the Wako draft.

In our team, these busy bodies will try and convince us why we should trust them now. If they betrayed us and Kenyans then, they can do it with ease again.

In my new capacity as the LDP Embakasi Branch Secretary, I welcome all Kenyans of goodwill to join us in this noble fight, a fight that must make us give Kenya back to Kenyans.

I urge all of you to register as voters, or if you are in the Diaspora, tell all your friends and reletaives to register as voters, and come election time, ELECT me Councillor in Komarock Ward, Elect ODM-K candidate MP in Embakasi Constitutency, and ELECT ODM-K Candidate, our next President.

There is no two way about it.
