Presidential candidates need good advicers

Cronie Thurwich wrote "How does Dr. Abonyo know that Raila bought this Hummer? It might have been a gift from his true friends in USA. BTW, Dr Abonyo, you do not seem to know whether you are a supporter, a cronie, attention seeker, or a don't care all together. Do you write when drunk or do you forget what what you wrote a couple of weeks ago? You love and hate Raila at the same time, but you have to decide whether you'd like to support him to win or support someone else who you deen is better"

Answer

Cronie Thurwich seemed to have been lost between the lines that I wrote. First my friend Cronie Thurwich, my article did not refer to the source of the hummer. The centre of my article was bad judgement due to lack of advicers or absense of good advice. My main concern was emphasizing the good or the bad of the hummer display on that particular day and not the purchase of the hummer or where the money came from. I said Raila can afford the hummer and did not in anyway suggest he bought it or was bought for him. I emphasized on having it at such a time of the compaign and where he had it. If you saw this in my writting, highlight it and I will remove it and apologize.

As per being a supporter, cronnie, attention seeker or dont care all together, you may or may not have apoint. And will provide my point of view as follows Supporter:- I am on record saying Raila is the best presidential candidate because of the follwing reasons
1. He is one of the people who has fought very hard for Kenyans second liberation and brought multiparty democracy to us. Without him Moi would still be in power and I dont know where we would be
2. Raila is not corrupt. If he was he could have been in Jail by now
3. Raila is the only ODMK candidate who has really compained effectively and is the only one that seems to be enthusiastic for the job and has done everything to prove so
4. Raila has fought for the poor and the kenyan masses For these reasons and many others that I am not able to state here, I do support Raila. However, this does not mean that Raila has not done other bad things that I can point out so that he can change them and get a better chance of winning.
If I do not do that then I shall have failed myself. As far as you are concerned, if I support Raila, then I must do so even when he is leading me into fire or when he is doing things that does not correlate with his philosophy which I dearly agree with. Cronie Thurwich, if I do that I become you and I do not think that is who I am. My support is earned by meaningful, substantial and interlectual decision and not cronism.

cronnie:- Here I think you were probably "drunk" or did not carefuly think, know or revise what you were writting. Kindly go and look at the meaning of a cronie because if I was then there would have not been a shred of criticism of Raila in my writting.

Attention Seeker:- If this is true then I got you. I attracted your attention didn't I? Let me be honest, if no one read what I wrote right now then it may probably not mean much, will not have an impact and does not help anyone unless it is kept for future generation. However, my writting is meant to seal the loop holes that can cost Raila election and eventually cost you your position cronie Thurwich. If Raila wins, you win and I win. If he looses, I think you will loose more than I. Kenyan election is going to be simply based on how many votes are counted for Raila and not the few people shouting Agwambo! Agwambo! These votes must be coated and cannot be forcibly obtained. If my contribution on this web could at least mold some of the characteristics of Raila that Kenyans have problems with and that has costed us elections and if I say us I am putting myself in your camp because I know you want Raila to win too then I shall have achieved my goal. Our difference is that you yourself believe that people in Kanya are so blind or are so stupid that they cannot see a candidate contradict his philophy. This is what I am trying to let Raila himself and his advisers know Cronie. If in the process I gain some recognision that is good not that I have not been recognised yet. I may have not been recognised at your level but I am ok with the one I have got already. If you doubt it then search me on google.

Don't care all together?
Yes I do care. If I did not care I would not waste my time on answering you. Kenya has been plagued by bad leaders to an extent that we cannot afford to loose a good one because of simple stupid mistakes that can be avoided. And if you are Raila's advicer, then I am kindly requesting you to start doing your job. You are failing us. Raila is thinking about alot of things. You need to do your job in thinking and suggesting that would make him sell to the people who have a bad inbuilt impression of him. The things that you line up for him must reflect his image and his philosophy that people are already buying. In current Kenya a philophy or character that emphasize working for the poor is going to sell better than "look I am so rich I can drive a hummer". It election time know what can sell and what cannot.

Do you write when drunk or do you forget what what you wrote a couple of weeks ago?:
Do you drink Cronie. If you do then may be you could have noticed the writting was not that of a drunk but someone who put some thought into what he wrote. As far as supporting Raila at times and criticising him at the same times, my reasons for this is clear cut. Blind praise breeds tyrants, contstructive cristicism breed nationalists. Raila is a nationalist and I believe he may disagree with my point of view but after he reads the very article you are blasting me for he might consider some aspects of it and that is what I intend to achieve. He is also an interlectual and sees through cronism and genuiness. When Cain killed his brother Abel because he gave a great sacrifice, God asked Cain, "Cain if someone does a great job, shouldn't he be praised' When Raila does a great thing I praise him. When I feel his judgement is clouded, I must talk about that one too. If I dont, you wont, I become a cronie and may be cheating my own slef or just being stupid. Sorry for the long passage. Your statement had all that in it.

Barack Abonyo
