PACK AND LEAVE PROF. AYIECHO NOW TOLD

BY: JEFF OTIENO

Beleaguered Muhoroni legislator Prof. Ayiecho Olweny has been urged by the Nairobi based business magnet Saul Apudo, who is also a parliamentary hopeful, not to risk contesting the seat or else he will encounter a memorable political humiliation in the next General Elections.

During an inspection tour of development projects in the constituency over the weekend, which are his brainchild, and accompanied by a battery of journalists, Apudo told how the MP has abused the Constituency Development Fund (C.D.F.) kitty using his bunch of cronies and sycophants.

He alleged that some areas (locations) which the MP perceive not to be hero-worshipping him are being denied both C.D.F and C.B.F. The combative politician vowed to address the plight of sugar cane farmers when he bags the seat.

Political pundits opine that the entry of Apudo has tightened Prof Olweny’s political noose due to the fact that he hails from the native Kano together with other hopefuls like James Onyango Koyoo and retired Banker Mr. Omulo Okal.

Other contenders are the polished and resilient Mombasa based tycoon Sam Okelo who hails from Gem, and the influential shrewd business cum Political operative Polycap Ocholla whose origin is Nyakach.

For starters, Muhoroni is a settlement scheme with a galaxy of the deplorable roads even though the area has potential economically.
