JOINT STATEMENT BY ODM-USA AND RAILA007

THE UNDERSIGNED, individually, collectively and as representatives of the above captioned organizations, wish to reassure all Kenyans that although there have been some real or perceived rivalry, conflict, competition or dispute between them, the same no longer exists.

WE CATEGICALLY state that we have never authorized, condoned or in any way been complicit to the unwarranted attacks directed at Hon. Raila Odinga, ODM-K, some of us or either of our organizations.

WE STRONGLY BELIEVE in and have been working together for an open, democratic and prosperous Kenya.

WHEREAS SOME OF US have been maligned, defamed and insulted by those pretending to belong to either of our organizations, we would like to make it crystal clear that the perpetrators of those attacks have been agents of division, confusion and retrogression. In fact, we know that those cowardly attacks have been orchestrated by enemies of ODM-K, in general, and Hon. Raila Odinga, in particular.

SUPPORTERS OF ODM-K and Hon. Raila Odinga should rest assured that both ODM-USA and Raila007 shall continue to collaborate and work closely together in order to bring the required progressive changes, and an electoral victory, in Kenya this year.

WE CALL UPON MEMBERS and supporters of our two organizations to forthwith stop publishing, posting, disseminating, or in any way, airing our internal matters in any forum, including, but not limited to, web-based outlets like Jaluo.com.

SIMILARLY, WE ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT close collaboration between our two organizations and urge members of both organizations to attend each other's meetings, fundraising events, and to freely and actively participate in both organizations' affairs.

FINALLY, WE WISH TO THANK all our members, supporters and Kenyans of goodwill for their continued confidence in our progressive struggles, which are exemplified in their unflinching support for both ODM-K and Hon. Raila Odinga.
