Re: The day things will take a different turn

Dear friends,

Life as we understand it does take some dramatic changes from time to time. Whenever that happens, more often than not,it surprises many including the victims.

Solomon speaking from a rich experience wrote "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven..."-Ecclesiastes 3:1

Most of what Solomon describes we have witnessed during our life time.To use but one example,we have seen people rise to the top and then go down flat. The good news though in such cases is that people can and have always bounced back.

But today I am concerned about two issues that are kind of related and yet of a different category. Many people don't even think that this will ever happen for it has never happened.

According to Amos 8:11-13 "Behold the days come, saith the Lord God,that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and from to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.

Now if what Amos describes here will take place, and I believe with all my heart that it will, then we are headed for very interesting imes. Can you imagine of the day when people will be searching for the word of God right and left?

Well,if you think that searching for the word of God will be interesting, wait until you hear of the next item.

The prophet Zechariah tells us of a day that money, and I mean money will be useless. Then, people will want to give to the cause of God only to find out in great disappointment that he church will not be in need of money. They will go then and cast their money in the streets.

This sounds like just a dream and yet the Lord tells us that that is what is going to happen.

The good news is that there is still time that we can search the word of God when it's time and give generously towards the cause of God.Will you.

Just a thought.
