KQ 707: KCA MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE

May 10 2007

The Kenyan Community Abroad (KCA) sends its deepest message of condolence to family members, relatives and friends of the 114 people (including 9 Kenyan crew members and citizens of 25 nationalities) who perished in the Saturday air crash aboard KQ Boeing 737-800,in Doula, Cameroon.

We share in their grief in this most trying moment and wish them God`s comfort as they come to terms with the sad news. In solidarity with the prayer day announced for Monday by the Government of Kenya, members of KCA will keep the berieved families in their prayers.

We counsel patience as experts piece together the possible cause of the crash. We urge that the outcome of investigation be made public, and that it offers, ultimately, ways of averting such disasters in future.

KCA also hopes Kenya Airways, lionized as "The Pride of Africa," will recover from this major setback and gear up to maintaining her presence in Africa`s airways.

Jared Oluoch
Asst. Secretary, KCA
KCA Executive.
