Recycling of MPS in Nyaribari Masaba is an Issue:

Mogambi Nyarangi
Raleigh NC USA

Recycling of MPS in Nyaribari Masaba is an Issue: For close to two decades, the politics of Nyaribari Masaba constituency have been dominated by two people, the incumbent MP, Dr Hezron Manduku and former minister Sam Ongeri. Since then from the late Hon.James Nyamweya & the late Hon.Andrew Omanga. Campaigns for these seat has usually been a two-horse race, but things looks to have changed now.

Prof.Ongeri should retire now. He was there for two terms. Hon. Dr. Manduku has been there two terms. Both the Boguche clan & Batondo have had their share. Prof. Ongeri was quoted by the Nation Newspapers as saying that, he is in his prime age to be an MP and to hold another position in the Government. He has had it, is time for someone else. So what is up Prof. Ongeri, your time is up! You were the area MP for 10 years, whatever you were to do you did it or you didn't do it then.

Prof.Michieka to take lead, in Nyaribari Masaba. If people in Nyaribari Masaba wants a professor, Michieka is a Professor. He has been successful as vice chancellor of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and director general of the National Environment Management Authority(Nema.

Also it is time Kamba Nane stand-up, and realize that, they should also have share. We are the majority, they should be united and get their share too. The a Boguche & a Botondo have had it. The Kamba Nane play a big part in local politics. (Kamba Nane are a conglomeration of eight sub-clans). Let us give Prof Michieka massive support to turn tables to these dominant opponents. Nyaribari Masaba why recycle more than twice?

We should end these dominance of the two politicians, Dr. Manduku & Prof. Ongeri. Noooooo Mooooore recycling in Nyaribari Masaba!!!!

Looking on CDF, under the leadership of the current MP Hon. Dr. Hezron Manduku,it has not been distributed equally in Nyaribari Masaba. There is no CDF office. Instead the funds are managed from Hon. Dr.Manduku's Hema Plaza, for the last 10 years. As the the area MP, he initiated only a Police Post at Ramasha & Nyanturago Stadium. Most projects are in Botondo his own clan.

Prof.Sam. Ongeri,During his tenure in Parliament, Gesusu Moi High School & Gesusu Hospital he ignored Masimba Dispensary, schools, health centers, water and rural electrification he skipped other clans. Keroka-Nyangusu Road was tarmacked during President Mwai Kibaki' government. If he initiated it, then he should have finished it while he were in the office. The road was surveyed, 40 plus years, that road as you see, it was long due, even from the time of the Late Hon James Nyamweya, when he was Min. for public works. Let us give other people a chance.

Prof. Ongeri in Minneapolis was quoted as saying that in Nyaribari Masaba it is between him and Hon.Dr. Manduku, the seating MP. He should know that it is the people of Nyaribari Masaba who will make that decision of recycling an MP. People need change.

When I visited Kenya in November 2006, I toured various places in Nyaribari Masaba. These people need change, they need a person who listens to their problems, a neutral person not a person who say that, I never got votes from this clan so I shouldn't support them.

Politics of old age is gone. You win, shake hands and move forward. Educate our young generation to play clean politics not fight, this is a one time game. Most of our leaders have been in overseas and have seen the kind of politics played but they go back home they don't even practice it. What you learn when you visit countries like United States Of America? Please leaders adapt what you see physical from the trips you make outside of Kenya.

Kenya Has moved forward under the good leadership of Hon. Mwai kibaki President of Kenya. Let people who have been in Kenya lately talk how this country has moved forward. I support you for the second term you have done a great job. We count for you for the last three year. The first year you were re-organizing the government and this being the 5th year you are planning for a re-election so it is only 3 years in office with that great work.

Where was CDF before NACk? President Kibaki you deserve another term to finish those projects you have started to Kenya in recent years testify. NARC has done so much, I salute you President Mwai Kibaki.
