Updates on my political bid

We are not hosting Hon Raila on saturday as earlier planned. He will come to Embakasi now after he has launched his bid.

My meeting with the women of Komarock surpassed my imaginations. The support base we are building is one that I must maintain. And it is an expensive affair, which as I normally say, I cannot handle on my own. And to this extent, I have always been appreciative that you are supporting my bid.

346 women came to my function at Bethel Baptist Church, and the move we have started, will see us marshal the support of 2000 women in the next three months. The women leader themselves have come up with follow up meetings on 9th and 21st of May.

9th will be consultative, while on 21st, our focus is to meet with all the ladies who work in the bars. People normally associate bar tenders with prostitutes, and I am saying NO. We want to sensitize them to have some dignity in their work as bar tenders or bar girls. You can be married happily, and still work efficiently as a bar girl.

That is the focus.

Then, tomorrow, I am meeting all the youth leaders in Komarock at Villa Rosa. We are planning for the Komarock Youth Bonanza scheduled for 16th June. That will be a major event. I will appreciate all the support I can get, because, we must go grab power. We cannot do this without being smart. And being smart also means having friends who are equally smart, and are willing to go out of their way to support such initiatives.

Thats where I am, and my focus, even as I execute my mandate as the secretary of LDP in Embakasi, remains firmly in Komarock, which I must win.

Together, we can do it. This is just an update.
