Re: Is there such a thing as ebibiriria/whichcraft?

When our youngest daughter-MaryAnne was young, something unique happened twice. One day there was a fund raiser for a church building that was well attended. At the end of the day, Mary Anne became certainly ill. It so happened that my older sister was at home. She suggested that our daughter's sickness was ebibiriria. They did whatever they did and Mary Anne became well.

At another time, my wife and I attended a Friday vespers at one of our sister churches. We had a wonderful time. As soon as we got home, Mary Anne certainly became sick again. We were told that it was ebibiria again.

So then is there such a thing as ebibiriria? Many Christians seem to think that accepting that there is ebibiriria is a denial of their faith. But what about witchcraft? Or even more closer is there such a creature as the devil?

Sin has been part of us ever since Adam and Eve gave in to the deception of the evil one. Since then, God's children have faced the evil one in many ugly forms.

Both the Old Testament and the New Testament tell us of the presence of witchcraft. Interestingly, most African countries/communities have had to confront with witchcraft and ebibiriria.

Whether it's based on rumors or not, I can't tell, but Iam told that witchcraft and ebibiriria as we understood them in Africa have been transported to USA. There have been cases where both children and even grown ups have been affected. Whether we have it in the Twin cities or not I do not know.

My appeal to all is that if you happen to know one such a person, please suggest that he/she get rid of such. We have many things to worry about in this country that we have no time to deal with ebibiriria. We don't want people to be afraid of going to public meetings including houses of worship due to ebibiriria.

So should any one fear such? This is where faith comes into play. As my dear brothers have said, there is a man of Galilee called Jesus. While on earth,he performed so many miracles. There is no case that was brought unto Him that He was not able to solve. Just a touch of His garment, healed those who had heretofore suffered for many years. I know Him for He has brought me from far. Without Him, I would not be where I am today. He is more powerful than witchcraft and ebibiriria?

So really the question is not whether or not He is able to deal with ebibiriria, but rather if you have faith in Him. Do you?

Just a thought.

Your friend & fellow traveler.
