Re: Recruiting for the heavenly kingdom

If you have been to a job fair, then you must have noticed the following:

1. It attracts more people than the employers need.
2. Most of the candidates arrive on time and well dressed.
3. Friends call each other, share the good news and encourage each other to try out the job fair.
4.Have never heard any prospective job seeker complaining of too many job fairs.
If anything, the complain has always been too few job fairs.
5.There is always joy and satisfaction when one returns home with a job offer letter.

Now you and I know for a fact that this world will one day come to an end whether we like it or not, and whether we are ready or not.

From what the Bible tells us, those who will make it, will live with God for eternity. Further more, the Bible (Revelation 21:1-4) gives us a wonderful picture of the earth made new. And so my question is two-fold:

1.How come that we are not that excited and eager to share this good news to our family members, relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbors?
2.How come that those invited are not as excited as when they are invited to a job fair?

Just a thought.
