In Eye of The Storm

New revelations and apparent realignments in ODM's political landscape have sent ardent supporters of Raila Odinga scampering for their seemingly broken hearts pieces as they cry foul, but let me reasure them that this may just be another false alarm. Nevertheless, a time for deep reflection. There might as well be two sides to this coin: How is it possible that Ruto who arguably controls the biggest chunk of ODM's delegates would be soo willing to go to concensus as his first option? All he had to do would be to lend his delegates to either Kalonzo or Mudavadi and they'd carry the day. Is it possible that the much tauted delegates are in Raila's camp together with respective aspirants and the incumbent MPs are feeling the heat?

Every aspirant worth his salt understands that unless he's a seanoned politician, his best bet is to reflect from Raila's radiance and redirect the rays at the electorate for a smooth sail to the house of representatives especially with most of the current MPs bogged down with missappropriation of CDF. It may therefore have been safe to back someone in the calibre of Kalonzo or Mudavadi in an attempt to neutralize their opponents' new found popularity. This move therefore may have been founded on the need for incumbent survival and not necesarily Kalenjin or National interest at large.
