Gwassi Constituency 2007

Daniel Otieno is at it again with confused information.Let me react thus:

1] Basubas & Luos ---- Let Daniel be told that Gwassi Constituency has no Basuba vs Luo rivalry because:Wagasi,Kaksingri,Uregi,Ungoe & Wakula are all Basuba original with an exception of a handful of Luos in Lambwe,Maragolis & Kisas in Gwassi & a handful of Kisiis in Gwassi,Kaksingri & Lambwe.

2] Contest between Syongoh & Nyauchi -- Even though I live far from home,report reaching me from Gwassi does not reflect that.What I get in the ground is that since Syongoh joined the middle ground,young men invaded his territory & he is yet to recover from.The young men inlude:Mbuya Okoth- Yogo,Karoli Omondi Gaa,Jack Adongo Otana,Mbadi,Ongoro etc.Yes,Waliki Nyauchi joined the young Turks in this fight.

3] Contestant-- report reaching me is that Chris[Otopa] Odero Lesso the current Constituency ODM-K Chairman who works for a Homa Bay based Catholic NGO is making inroads too.He is not new to the local politics & a very likable man indeed.Joshua Ouma Wanjare is the same Ouma Ogunyo & I wonder what Daniel Otieno researched.Mboya,Karoli & Mbadi have been very active on the ground yet they have been given a black out.I was even expecting to read about Karoli's influence on getting Tonga School bus & his invlolvement in Raila Odinga Centre.The lattest fund riasing in Tonga Catholic Mission I am told,Mboya was the only Politician who attended.

4] Sindo-Nyangwethe- Nyandiwa road-- This road will open up Gwassi North & West & tap the fish from the lake & however,it is playing negative to the effect that Syongoh is concentrating his efforts in Gwassi North & Kaksingri & this might cost him lots of Wagasi vote.I am told that the road was built with CDF money as opposed to the information that it is foreign funded[I stand to be corrected on this].

5] Weekest link ---- Syongoh weakened himself with the following:
a] CDF Committee -- He chose his cronnies & the Constituency protested & took him to Court.
b] Referundum -- Syongoh refused to join the rest of LDP & KANU MPs & activist in promiting orange movement thus the advent of Gwassi Young Turks.
