Re: DO RAILA SUPPORTERS KNOW THAT HUMMER / NYUNDO SLOGAN IS A BAD CAMPAIGN TOOL?

Barrack,

I do not know why you think it is so important to you to continue to insult Raila supporters like this. What makes you think that you can unilaterally decide those of us who support Raila "blindly" and those of you who does so with "reason"?

Why would you think you have so much wisdom and smarts to be able to reason while the rest of us are just blind followers. If that is not arrogance then I do not know what arrogance is. It is this kind of superiority complex that boggles my mind when I read from people who are afflicted as you are with this disease. How does an individual whtheracquire this level of arrogance is still a mystery to me. Is it your education or social status that makes you believe others are blind and that you are the only one who is capable of reasoning and understanding how best to support Raila?.

Listen buddy, Raila is not a luo candidate. Raila is the candidate of the forces of Kenyans who have been agitating for change for almost 40 years now. Nyundo is a Swahili word which means hammer and has nothing to do with the Humvee. The masses knows exactly what they mean when they call Raila, NYUNDO and they do not need your Marxist/Leninist interpretations.

There are only two political forces in Kenya as far as Raila is concerned, the forces of change and the forces of status quo. Luos are not even the majority of those who support the forces of change. Those of us who are supporting change do not care about tribe and therefore you should not feel that just because you are a luo you have an additional responsibility towards Raila's candidacy. When Raila is president, Luos will not be co-presidents but all those who support change will be equal in the eyes of Raila regardless of their tribal affiliation.

Your problem is that you somehow think that this campaign is based on a tribal equation and that Raila only has support in Luoland and therefore Luos should help Raila woe other tribes by going down on their knees to beg for votes on behalf of Raila. This is a tribal misreading of Kenyan politics and insulting to the people of Kenya who support Raila regardless of their tribal affiliation.

We supporters of Raila are tribeless but are Kenyans fighting for change and democracy. We believe that Raila is the only leader who has the guts to usher in the changes that Kenya need. We believe in democracy and would rather have delegates elect the leader of ODMK rather than a few guys in the boardroom. We believe that Kalonzo is an important member of the movement for change but he needs to respect democracy and we reserve the right to boo a leader who is wavering including Raila.

Last but not least, we are not going to be told that our only role in political rallies is to cheer. We also reserve the right to boo the speakers if we disagree with them.

We understand what Hummer / Hammer / Nyundi are and we do not need your patronizing attitude explaining to us how we should use these symbols.

Last question, how come when we cheer Kalonzo we are not drunk and then when we boo him we are labeled as drunkards and hired goons? We have cheered Kalonzo many times, who paid us then or are we only drunk and paid when we booo and not when cheer?

Apologize Bwana Barrack and let us put this matter to rest.

Unedited

Joab.
