Re: Tell them,preach it,,,,,,,Oh well!

For some reason, today, I found myself thinking about my seminary years. My mind dwelt so much on the seminary chapel that took place every Wednesday.

All seminary professors and students were expected to be present. One of the teachers or a student was scheduled to preach.

FYI, the seminary consisted of individuals from 40 nationalities. Every time the preacher stood to preach, there was fire in the house of the Lord with pastors shouting "Tell them, preach it, that's alright my man and....." Whenever the preacher said anything touching the students, the tone changed to " Be careful now, watch it, or well...? Oh I truly miss those days! If there was away of changing things, I will surely love to go back to the seminary years.

The more I think about the seminary years, the more I ponder on this question " What's the best way of presenting the good news?" Should I present it the Christ way-meeting people where they are, meeting their needs without condemning them and them inviting them to accept my Saviour? Or rebuke them, tell them how it's, call sin by it's right name and ashame the devil?

Whichever method I follow, would I be comfortable with it supposing I was at the receiving end?

How about the rich young ruler? He came to Jesus having kept all from his childhood. All was well until Jesus touched his weakest point. That's when he realized his real him. As it turned out, he went away sorrowful.

In view of what the Bible teaches:

1.Judge not to be judged,
2.The first will be the last and the last the first,
3.The journey home is very challenging by all means,
4.Of our own,we can not do anything,
5.The spirit is willing,but the flesh is weak,I would rather go the Christ method.

As we share the good news, let us pray, fast, read widely, reason out, understand where people are or are coming from and above all, follow Christ's method. Shall we?
