RE: YALA SWAMP PROJECT AND THE PROPOSED OUTREACH
Dear Mr Burgess
I am much obliged to you for your prompt reply to my e-mail and
for dealing seriatim with my questions. I am now more enlightened about
these Projects than before!
Since it is only by our knowing the truth about the above
Projects that we will be set free from any lingering doubts we may have
about them, may I please trouble you with the following further questions
which arise, mostly, from your answers to my previous questions.
- In my view, because of the scourge of malaria in Nyanza Province, one of the most positive things you have done at Yala swamp is the planting of the anti malaria drug plant. What do you propose doing with the plant? Are you perhaps considering establishing an anti malaria drug factory in, say, Siaya?
- What organic farming methods do you use to suppress weeds in produce fields other than in rice paddies?
- Is it your plan to make all good seed available free of charge to Luo farmers?
- At the end of the Lease what do you envisage happening to the Dominion Farms at Yala swamp and your plant and equipment then on site?
- What, typically, are the units, their sizes, and the likely maximum loans Dominion will make available for the outreach projects intended to facilitate mechanised farming methods in Luoland? How exactly do you propose that the loans are repaid to Dominion?
