In a move that plunges the ODM-Kenya into deeper chaos, KANU chairman Uhuru Kenyatta Wednesday said his party's has pulled out of ODM-K.

Uhuru says the decision was prompted by the ODM-K interim leadership's clear assertion that ODM-K was an independent political party and not a coalition as KANU had all along believed.

Addressing the press in his office Uhuru said the current leadership wrangles pitting the interim ODM-K leadership led by Henry Kosgey on one hand and the registered secretariat members led by Daniel Maanzo on the other further complicates the matter.

Uhuru reiterated that KANU will field its parliamentary and civic candidates countrywide, as well as pursue coalitions with other registered political parties with an aim of winning the December general election.

Uhuru, who is the Official Opposition leader, called upon the ODM-Kenya to clearly state its political position soonest possible.
