Hon.Charity Ngilu;'Margaret Thatcher' the Iron Lady..

The recent alleged 'arrest' of Hon.Charity Ngilu’s ought to be taken as a political statement. Her persistence and a new-found independent transformation have added more charisma to her Narc’s chair than ever before. Her fidelity devoid of tribal royalty to the wishes of majority of Kenyans to have a strong coalition would turn the image and aspirations of the previous and current governance in an impressive manner.

Nationwide no leader of any political party or movement has shown up-and-coming Narc’s autonomous incumbency and rejuvenation than Charity Ngilu.

It is presumed that sooner than later, toward the 2007 general elections, all parties including the chronically indisciplined Narc-Kenya and others would desperately seek the leadership of Ngilu under the Narc coalition’s conventional political wisdom. Many parties in Kenya have had individuals who have consistently been marginalizing their own manifestos. It is high time that they should candidly be rejected through grassroots elections .It is time for parties to end their selfish and costume –laced political drama with a thorn prick.

Other political parties are on the road of self-isolationism and individual protectionism that is seen to be broad and very inviting.

Ngilu’s professionalism of her own politics has been ruthlessly been mature and which relates to her coalition’s vision and growth that gives her a more prospective candidacy for the same chair.

Narc’s unprecedented political pinnacles, as if by magic, would certainly bounce back. The previous economic growth of 6.3% and the positivity of the recently read budget and its economic impact to the nation would even enhance confidence among Kenyans to a higher level towards Narc coalition that has since yielded economic fruits within the stipulated five year term.

Certainly Ngilu’s term in office, both in government, as an activist and the political arena would further enhance optimism of female leadership that has since turned to be popular in Africa and world over.

This reminds us of the famous British ‘Iron lady’ Margaret Thatcher and our own Nobel Peace Laureate Prof.Wangari Maathai.

On the part of Hon. Charity Ngilu, her Ministry of Health has had an impressive package in form of availing local and manageable policy based programmes that are tailor-made to cater for the welfare of all healthcare needs in the country.

Provision of basic health care services has proven to be a rather liberalized priority for all Kenyans.

From fighting Malaria at the grassroots, provision of anti-retroviral(ART) at an affordable cost, subsidizing pharmaceutical products and free service delivery services for women, among others, the Ministry of Health personnel has achieved a great deal under Ngilu.

These could only be realized with urgent commitment that the Minister has since demonstrated by her not being fully preoccupied with political expletives like others have shown to be made of.

Ngilu’s Ministry is one of the more promising and which has helped turn hope to the country’s transformed health and economic sector with increasingly substantial contingency.

Even with her recent arrest and intimidation, political disintegration and hemorrhage would never solve the pressing issues that touch on the Kenyan society. Let us give Hon. Charity Ngilu a chance though Narc come the election time and it upon the Narc leadership to spearhead and popularize Narc grassroots candidacy to other parts of Kenya where leadership is lacking. Bravo Hon.Ngilu.

Regards,
Mundia Mundia Jnr.
