ODM-K: JOTHUM NOTIMRE NADE?

Jothurwa, the group that has to be collectively searching their music soul about
the ODM-K fracas has to be Luo benga and ohangla musicians. One can trace the political doings and undoings of Luo Nyanza politics from listening to benga & nyatiti  musicians.  They have cataloged this history the best, even academicians do NOT come close.

   In the 60's it was Odinga and KPU

   in the 70's and 80's it was the demonization of KANU and then along democartization in the 90's and

   FORD was all the rage in benga,
   Raila split and even dogs that were named FORD [I had a cousin who did that] - renamed them FORD-K, and benga music strummed similarly
   and then tinga and NDP kende were born,
   and then came "Cooperation" and mos ioro-ne Moi wuod Odongo e thumbe,

   Kasarani happened and Owino declared, to paraphrase, " ...ne giweyo ni
gimwunyo tinga / To kare tinga ne ok gi "switch e off "/ tinga obaro i gweno,
gweno fwuolo...",
