Re: In other people's shoes!

It takes someone who has been in a similar situation to understand what someone is going through. This explains why some people will never understand certain issues. Not the following:

1.An individual who was brought up is a rich family, will find it hard to cope with poverty and sacrifice.
2.An A student might not understand why people fail.
3.Those who came here on a GC might not understand what others have and continue to go through.
4.Those in leadership might not understand life at the floor.Let me give an example.

In this particular nursing home,a resident was giving the employees very hard time. When it came to taking a shower in the morning, she became so un cooperative. Many employees were written up and were seen as un willing to perform their duties. Some even lost their jobs because of that.

At a given time,a new DON came on board. Many suffered under her leadership. She blamed all for their failure to know how to handle this one individual. One day,in the presence of many of her juniors, she took upon herself to show workable skills. It was early in the morning.

As she came crosser to the resident, the resident did the unthinkable. She removed her mess diaper and threw it direcly into the DON face. It was disaster of the highest degree.Needless to go on,she resigned and as it turned out,the poor employees were vindicated.

In dealing with God's children, let us try to understand where they are coming from. Some have a very bitter past that only God understands. Sometimes all they are crying for, is to find at least one person willing to listen. Can you be that person?

Just a thought.
