THE STUBBORN COMPUTER VIRUS, NOT A COMPAIGN STRATEGY

Currently there is a computer virus named Raila Odinga 2007, which is spreading very fast in most computer software networks in Kenya and mostly in Nairobi. This Virus appears on the computer screen of the affected computer in the form of a poster bearing the picture of the presidential candidate Raila Odinga and what he stands for.

Those people who have been using the Internet of late may have encountered this virus and possibly moved it to their computers without their knowledge through movable storage devices.

First, computer users who saw the poster of Raila Oding on their screen thought it was presidential campaign strategy by displaying his posters automatically on computers. Most of Raila’s supporters like seeing Raila Posters on the screen but were wondering how the picture got its way into their computer screens only to realize that removing Raila poster on the screen is not easy, unless you switch off or restart the computer a fresh.

Later we discovered that this is not campaign strategy. This was just a computer virus named Raila and it corrupts computer and even interferes with peoples work.

This may be a business venture of few computer experts who hate Raila and have created a self-duplicating software with the objective of interfering with peoples’ work, destroying already existing software. So that those people whose computer have been affected by their virus can look for them to provide services of cleaning the viruses or selling the anti-Virus to them or re installing new programs. These computer experts have used their programming techniques by designing a worm software which replicates itself into other people’s computer automatically by avoiding detection and their main aim may be just to make money and spoil Raila’s name.

Since those people whose computers have been affected will have to look for the latest anti-Virus in the market or the services of computer experts, the experts or programmers are the ones who know how to create anti virus software which will clean the virus they designed. Already they have produced anti-virus which is being sold in Nairobi to clear their stubborn Virus. They do this to get money and many clients from computer users, as they practice their profession of programming and servicing computer.

These people who named their virus Raila Odinga 2007 have made people whose computers were corrupted by their virus not to be happy with Raila, thinking that it is Raila campaign style through their computer screens which have interfered with their operations.

This is just the work of few computer experts who hate Raila and have named their stubborn program as Raila Odinga 2007, while exploting innocent computer users. I think these are professionals who expected employment from NARK government, but have not been employed, now they are trying to initiate some income generating projects which is a criminal activity that can make them survive in this economy which is said to be growing by 6.1%

I would like to advice computer users who have encountered this Virus name Raila just to like Raila Odinga. This is not his work. Raila has his own website named www.raila07.com which contains all the information about him and what he would do for Kenyans.

Computer experts should also vote for Raila so that the next government should employ them in that they practice their expertise in a productive way and not to design programs which are stubborn and corrupt the already existing software.
