Kenyan MPs Pay Raise

Why would the Kenyan government approve a colossal pay raise to the "do nothing" members of Parliament while diseases, unsanitary conditions, impassible roads, lack of running water, untreated sewage systems (people defecating everywhere) and decaying infrastructures abound? A pay raise should a symbol of a job well done. What jobs have these bloody MPs accomplished in their respective constituencies since their last election? Can somebody shed light on this?

As I was pondering trough these questions, the pieces information I have referenced below gave me the some answers. The ruling elites both in Kenyaand in Africa at large, do not give a damn about what happens to 99.9% of the working class and disadvantaged population.. Business deals in which bribes are secretly dished out by other wealth foreign elites have become the norms.

The voting public is merely there to formalize who the next deal breakers will be. Their votes are needed to formalize who the next rulers will be. Once that process is over, they (public) better shut up else , watchdogs (the armed forces and police), which serve the ruling elites' interests, will be commanded to descend upon them like the wolf on the fold.

The media has been silenced and can only decimate the information the ruling elites want, which is no information at all.

The world's abundant natural resources and 99.9% of the world population are at the disposal of 0.01% of the well connected elites who intimately engaged in the world bribing trade with each other. The so called inter-governments trade is controlled by these elites. For some reasons, the voting public is induced to the polls whenever elections come!! *When will this "KABUKI DANCE" stop?*
