Re: Agwambo

James,

I want to invite you to become an agent of change in Kenya.

There is no point in bashing a whole community just because you are wetting your pants at the thought that Kenyans are going to elect Raila as the next President.

Kenyans have all come together to defeat the forces of yester years, forces that have made Kenya become a beggar state at the expense of the rulers.

In the recent past, I have documented the ammount of loans Kenyan Presidents have entered into on our behalf. I have also documented all the grants we have been given. Then I have looked at the amount of development that Kibaki and his government are talking about. What all that money has done for Kenya, and I become a dejected man.

Sadly, I have found out that even your 6th grand children, will be born in poverty and debt, if we continue the way we have been going. Kibaki was the finance minister for Kenyatta for many years. He continued at the same ministry when Moi took over. He does not know what should be done to turn around Kenya. He continues in the knwon tradition, that of seeing Kenya as a milch cow.

He is now our President, and we all elected him on the trust that he will change things. Sadly, your man has failed. And you know, truth hurts. It hurts to an extent that those who do not want to come to terms with reality, must look for straws to hang onto.

Raila Odinga is like any other Kenyan, and I am happy that the ODM fraternity came together and endorsed him as our touch bearer. It could have been Balala, Nyagah, Ruto or Mudavadi. We could have fallen in line and supported any of these great men who now form The Pentagon.

We, the Luo, had done it before when we all voted almost to the next dying man for your Kibaki. What makes it so difficult for you to accept that Hon Raila fits the bill, and that he can fix all the mess Kibaki has failed to fix shows that you are not genuine. You want our votes, but you are not ready to give us your votes.

Kibaki has promoted tribalism to an absurd level, Raila needs to fix this.

Kibaki has come up with his own corruption scandal in the name of Anglo Leasing instead of fighting the vice, Raila needs to fix this.

Kibaki failed to give us a new constitution despite making a covennant with a man of God who later became discredited, Raila will fix this.

Kibaki has ruled with impunity, disregarding court orders, abusing Kenyans left, right and centre, calling us mafi ya kuku, pumnafu etc, Raila must fix this. And Kenyans now have an opportunity to continue being pumbavus, and mafi ya kukus, or vote this man out.

When he called us mafi ya kuku, and pumbavu, we could not do anything. Now, we can fix him with all his insults. He must apologise and withdraw the insults.

Kibaki has become famous for issuing road side decisions, creating new Districts without any plans, giving our animals away to foreigners, setting fire to our homes, Mau Narok etc, Raila must fix this.

Kibaki has failed to make Kenya safe. Mungiki is chopping off peoples heads, Kenyans are being killed in Mt Elgon, tribal clashes are being encouraged etc and the police are on holiday under Kibaki. Raila must fix this.

Kibaki pretends that he is presiding over an economy that is doing fine. His economy and that of his friends is indeed doing fine. But the rest of Kenyans only read about that improved economy in the press, or we watch Kibaki talk about it on TV or on Radio. Raila needs to fix this, so that Kenyans can feel the impact of an improved economy in our houses, in our bedrooms, in our sitting rooms, and in our day to day lives. Not to read and watch about phantoms.

Kibaki presided as president when Central Bank, for the first time in History, made a loss of Kshs 4.8billion. And immediately thereafter, Equity Bank went on an expansion spree. It does not need a rocket scientist to add 1+ 1 to know what happened. Raila needs to fix this kind of state looting.

Kibaki said he wanted a lean and efficient government. He now has a government of about 100 ministers. This is hurting our economy. Raila needs to fix this.

Kibaki sleeps upto very late. We need a president who wakes up early. And Raila wakes up early.

The list can be endless my brother. Instead of creating non issues, face the facts and join Kenyans in this journey. Let us join forces and become agents of change, and together, we will all create a Kenya we would be proud of. Not a Kenya as the one Kibaki likes comparing with failed states.
