Nyatike Constituency Opinion Pole as at 30 September 2007

Thank you for your message. We are currently running a fresh poll on all the constituencies in Nyanza after the first round. This will be based on those "confirmed aspirants" not likely aspirants. The first one was based on those expected to contest but the current one is based on those who have participated in ODM party activities as a way of committment and seriousness. Given that ODM parliamentary nominations begin next week, we will follow-up to find who has paid the 100,000 required and post the new opinions on the jaluo.com so keep watching the forum.

So far, the serious candidates in Nyatike are Ochola Ogur Tobias (Incumbent), another young upcoming chap Elias Ratteng Odhiambo (i witnessed a funeral in Nyatike last June where he took the crowd by storm), and Mark Ogutu (though his problems has worsened by his expulsion at KU under funny circumstances). Ochilo could have tried but the successful nomination of Raila has complicated matters for him since the whole of Nyatike residents consider hin a NARC-KENYA mole.Our latest interview indicate that he is listed by the KIBAKI TENA group to masquerrade as ODM aspirant only to turn the tables later. Wait for the full report for more details. Currently we are in Gwassi constituency.The rest have been damaged by the current court case over their involvement in the CDF. This has made Ochola very un-electable and he will need miracles to win this seat.

In short, Nyatike is a fight between Odhiambo Ratteng and Mark Ogutu.
