Since it is increasingly clear that ODM will win the elections, Uhuru will find himself in unlikely circumstances as a backbencher MP without a party. Such a scenario will reflect him in bad light as a tribalist coz Kibaki can decide to run on a KANU ticket. A chance presented itself to Hon. Uhuru to show that he is a man on his own by not getting instructions from Moi. What he could have done is to chase Moi from the party for supporting an opponent, then join Raila in ODM to bolster their chances of forming the next Govt. Raila is a sincere fellow and Uhuru would have been assured of being nominated if he lost, there is no such guarantee under Kibaki. By putting an analogy between himself with Wanguhu Ng'angá he has seriuosly dented his chances of winning the presidency even in 2027. NO wonder he's now in the Guiness Book of World Records as the 1st OPP. Leader to support the incumbent.
