Re: Something about parents.

There is something about parents that I both admire and truly appreciate-their desire to have their children connected to the Almighty God.

If there is any one who knows better that I am a preacher, then she must be my mum. But every time I speak with her,she inquires as to whether I go to church, which by the way is typical of many parents.

Most parents seem to associate success with the fear and serving of God. There is nothing,and I mean even the mighty dollar that excites parents than to hear that their children are good church goers.Yes, even more exciting, that they are doing some kind of work at church.

On the other hand,most parents become extremely worried and concerned when their children have nothing to do with God.Hence the daily pleading with God,to somehow help their children to love and serve him.

While some have done well by remaining connected to the Living God,some have not seen the door of a church for a long time.It has always been one excuse after another.They have challenged God so many times that they have run out of excuses.Today, its the pastor; tomorrow it's so and so is an hypocrites;two days later,we must work if ever we have to survive in this country. And so they go.

Despite all our excuses, I am glad that our parents have not given up yet on praying for us.God bless their hearts.I need every bid of it. The question, though, is,"when shall we help answer their petition?
