KIBAKI AND REALITY

What makes Kibaki so unpopular in Kenya today? This is the question Kibaki himself and members of his kitchen cabinet should be asking themselves. The obvious is that these guys have ignored this question and I think they will ask it soon after defeat when they will be licking their wounds. Kibaki said recently in Uhuru Park when announcing his candidacy that he was happy that the economy grew by 6% last financial year. Since he came to power he has said so many times. But does this resonate with ordinary Kenyans? Obviously not. Why? Because no one except the president himself and a few well connected folk are enjoying the said growth. "Wanajienjoy" while the masses are languishing in poverty and struggling to survive the unrelenting high prices of basic commodities. The mere talk of economic growth does not translate to votes!

The president himself unwittingly answered the question as to why masses want to fire him. He said that more wealth will be created and distributed nationwide in his second term if elected. In essence the president was saying that his first term concentrated wealth in politically correct regions and in the second term term he is going to remember those he forgot in his first five years! Would anyone serious take him by his word?

I would have taken the president seriously had he not short-changed his former friends who signed MOU. Trusting Kibaki is placing oneself in the hands of his brutal and tribal kitchen cabinet. They will fry you, brew you, boil you, etc, and declare you useless!

Kibaki's camp is in deep dilemma and hope for a favorable miracle.

Kibaki's system of administration elevates ethnic economic empowerment where his own unfairly rise above all others. He is not in control, too. Lucy and the kitchen cabinet are. Keriri could not have said it better when he said that the kitchen cabinet rubbished MOU because it was unworkable! In other words current promises by Kibaki may also be deemed unworkable by the kitchen cabinet.

The president projects himself as a good man to the public but behind the curtains he mandates his buddies to do the the dirty work for him.

Kibaki has his powers curtailed by his long time friends who are actually the ones holding the carrot in one hand and wield the whip in the other. The firing of Kalonzo and Raila from government for example is the work of the dirty boys in his government. The plan was that everything would be done after their firing to destroy them politically. The plan was aborted by Kenyans because they understood the evil behind their act. The current vilifying of Raila is part of the plan and it is quite unfortunate for the dirty boys because it came too late, too obvious.

Everyone who referred to Raila as a dangerous man wasted much breath because Raila has never murdered anyone or raped our economy. Raila was in jail when thieves were busy stealing and stashing stolen money in banks abroad.

The assertion that Raila is dangerous is pure madness. Baloney in its ugly reality! What else would anyone call it when known and suspected thieves are ganging up on a rudderless ship called PNU and shouting themselves deaf against one man who has not been proven dangerous. We understand that some did it so that Kibaki may appoint them vice president if he wins miraculously. These are the likes of Kombo, Uncle Moody and Nyachae.

They spirit of sycophancy has resurrected and together with the demons of violence, bribery and lies they will soon target the innocent Kenyans. Fortunately these demons do not resonate with majority of Kenyans and that is why we shall defeat them together with the politicians through whom they actualize themselves.
