The die is cast; Kenyans must take charge

Yesterday at Nyayo National Stadium, all Kenyans witnessed a day of national shame.

President Kibaki could be very serious in wanting a second term of office. He has his set agenda, and he has picked his campaign machinery, the people who will help him reach out to fellow Kenyans, whom only yesterday, he was calling Mafi ya Kuku and Pumbavu.

Some of us watched the game of desperation that was the launch of PANU, whatever it stands for. [ Kalonzo called it the Party of Absolutely No Use]. And we who have stood out as agents of change in Kenya, we got to see how desperate people behave.

What was meant to be a launch of their party, was turned into an arena for competition. It was like the best reward would go to the person who abused Migosi Raila the most.

I watched with glee how, Tuju, Nyachae, Kombo, competed against Kalembe, Livondo and even Taib in painting Raila red. Panu was all forgotten, and few of loosing power set in.

I am happy that all Kenyans have decided to join ODM in this unstopable march to State House, with Raila as our Team Captain.

I am also happy that most Kenyans have decided that the gravy train that assumes the human face of Moi, Kenyatta and Kibaki must now be stopped.

Kazi hai wezi kuendelea.

We have had enough of tribalism, nepotism, corruption, impunity, and outright contempt for far too long. It is time Kenya was brought back to the tracks. The architects of wanton destruction of Kenya are afraid that we have seen the light, and we have decided that Kenya belongs to all of us; not Kenyatta, not Moi, and definately not Kibaki.

Kazi hai wezi kuendelea.

We have had enough of lip service. We have had enough of Kenyans being played against each other. It is time we started living in harmony as Kenyans, without me looking at my Kikuyu, Luhya, Kisii neighbour with suspicion.

President Kibaki must now do the honourable thing; instead of facing imminent defeat that awaits him, step aside, and let someone else face the defeat.
