I almost believed Jakom when he declared early this year that he would not force his friends and relatives on constituents this time around. This is part of the reasons why Luo Nyanza has consistently gone down the drain in development.

Every election time, we have ended up with very selfish MPs, forcefully nominated just because of their closeness to Jakom, or his father before him.

Personally, I think by interfering with the people's choices, Jakom is inviting unnecessary criticism on himself, something he can ill afford at the present time when he has so much to gain.
