KIBAKI SUPPORTERS HAVE CONVERTED DIASPORA FORUMS INTO LIES AND PROPAGANDA MACHINES

It used to be that diaspora forums had writtings that were challenging, interesting and credible. Forums such as public eyesite became a forum with impeccable integrity where men and women with great integrity, value and valor met and discussed great issues that were of great importance to Kenya. Great were the days when the opposition and the government were discredited and creditted based on their deeds and misdeeds. It was great to open the site or email and read from the Akombe, Kuria Mwangi, Nyabuto mangerere, Limumba, Keen Nyamwange writting about issues such as "Vote for me I am very very popular", "Ethiopia's Presence in Somalia Is Not  Invasion", "Suicidal statecraft is hurting  the nation". Sometimes the issues were controversial but they were kept within the limits of trueth and integrity. Each writer was very careful not to damage his own name lest people start ignoring his write ups.

The trend has changed since the polls showed that Raila is a head of Kibaki in the polls. We have recently received emails purpoted to come from Raila and yet they are advocating for Kalonzo or Kibaki bid. What the writers forgot is that these writtings eventually show that they would like to cash in on Raila's popularity. We have seen writtings of speeches which obviously are not from Raila, Some have also claimed that some person interviewed Raila and that Raila castigated doubt about ODM luminaries. Some have sent funny pictures and even people stripping and indicating that those are ODM instigated events while some have vulgar language. In a recent diaspora Kass FM interview someone kept shouting obscene words. Even though this hurts their candidates more, I feel such writtings are not worth certain forums of high integrity as the diaspora one as it lacks substance and eventually erodes the eagerness of reading any incomming email as they tend to be full of stupidty, childishness and blatant open propaganda.

Unfortunately these untruethful matters have been sent or forwarded by people with Kikuyu names implying that they are Kikuyu supporters of Kibaki. One Karanja and Lucy Kimani have been at the forefront of forwading such emails. Others have chosen to abuse them with one sending an article stating and I quote "Lucy Kimani is on heat". Since when did learned Kenyans started to stoop this law. The competition is on. Keep it fair, honest, and genuine. No need for name calling, no need for stupid propaganda that even a caveman can figure out. Before you place your fingers on the key board think about what you want to achieve.

If these articles were meant to promote Kibaki or sell him to the people of Kenya then they failed miserably. I say this because the Kenyan population has changed. Almost everyone in Kenya can read and write now. It is difficult to find a Kenyan without a reach for radio even if it means going to a market place to listen to it. They grasp what the propagandists are saying. "It is either a kikuyu for president or else we will sprinkle you with mud". "The Kikuyu president is the only humble president". "We hate the luos and we want other tribes to do the same" . Yes they are out swinging after the polls and would not mind hitting anyone on site including those with objective minds.

If propaganda is necessary then sugarcoating may help. However, right now it is aggrevating and I wish my email rejects it before I even see the topic. Can someone invent something that analyses emails for content before one reads them?
