Kenya receives international recognition.
Written By:Simon Acholla   , Posted: Sat, Oct 13, 2007

Finance minister Amos Kimunya has warned that the current political temperatures are hurting the investor confidence on Kenya.

Speaking on arrival from London where he Kenya received the 2008 International Finance Corporation business award.

The award recognizes government's reforms in making business accessible to all.

Kenya was the second most reformed state behind Mauritius in Africa and occupied the 10 spot worldwide.

Kimunya said investors are worried about the fate of NSE after election.

Kimunya warned that the gains made by the Kibaki administration were likely to be watered down by political statements that threaten the survival of the Nairobi stock exchange.

The finance minister also dismissed recent opinion polls putting Raila Odinga way ahead of president Kibaki saying they were not reflective of the mood on the ground.

re: Kenya receives international recognition.

Bravo Kibaki! YOU ARE THE MAN! KEEP IT UP YOU HAVE OUR VOTES! KIBAKI KENYA'S FUTURE IN YOUR HANDS! YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES! PRESIDENCY MATERIAL UNLIKE YOUR RIVAL WITH EMPTY PROMISES AND COULD NOT COMPLETE ONE ROAD CONSTRUCTION WHEN HE WAS THE MINISTER!
