I wanted to add to the thread from David and Michelle below.

The traditional way of raising money -- event after event, an endless series of phone calls to potential donors -- is a reality of our political process.

We rely less on this than any other campaign, but it will continue to be a reality until we elect a president who will fix it.

The fact is, traditional fundraising requires politicians to spend too much time away from the voters we need to be talking to.
