Dear Kenyans,

I have a new blog site! http://mwaikibaki2007.blogspot.com/

Jimmy's son showed me how to blog yesterday. I was really thrilled that I posted a comment I really wanted to hear from you Kenyans. In case you are wondering how I got your email address, well I spoke to Mutua, you know our spokesman and he was kind enough to do the needful. Anyway, back to my blog. Please visit it. Below are some excerpts. Stay in touch for more. (Am writing this during my break at this boring commonwealth meeting)

Yours always,

Baba Jimmy( Lets be casual for now)

Blog excerpts

.......What has prompted me is the news I have just recieved from Steadman. This Waititu guy is cool. I have never felt so happy for having people who understand my language in key positions in this country.

Even with Mzungu like Roger Steadman and Tom Wolf, Waititu has ensured that the polls are not as bad as people would like. I have recieved many reports even from very close sources which can really depress you. But Steadman will contribute tomy relaxed day today.

This guy Raila is very interesting. Yesterday I heard he was in South Africa. I wasn't sure he wasnt not in Kampala meeting the queen. Then I hear him presenting his papers at Nyayo Stadium.

For sure I thought he has stepped down and gone to seek assylum since I believe Livondo will win the Kibera Constituency Seat......

.......In 2002 I did minimal campaigning due to the accident and I won. I formed a government and I left it to run on its own. It was a great government. Imagine how well it was working. I remember the early days of this government when I would meet my long term buddies like Michuki, Nat, Wanjui and all we talked about were the good old days in Makerere.

We had some good young men like Kiraitu and Chris who kept us up to date on what was happening in the government. I remember vividly when he asked me to get some money for them especially knowing how well they had worked.......
