Re: Rigging of election is an act of war on the people.

To all,

It is important to understand that rigging of elections at the last stage ,when the siting president has seen that he was going to be defeated is an act of war on the voters who have already decidec who their president is. The signs of rigging in upper mt kenya areas and delaying their announcement, returning officers disappearing and ECK announcing different results from what was announced at the counting hall speaks alot. Trying to announce fake results is a sure of putting a country in acivil war mood. We can all say that ECK is the final authority to announce the final results but when people have sensed that manipulation has occurred then whatever they announce will be considered illigimate by the people of kenya. What Kibaki and Raila should do is sit together and hammer out a formula how to concede inorder to avert the final showdown which is awaiting to happen.

Remember rigging is a form of violence against the people and the people will use the same violence to remove the rigged in government. Kenyan people have spoken and their patience is running out. It is going to be hard to explain to kenyans that a goverment which has lost 3/4 of its cabinet (ministers and assistant ministers can claim that it won the presidentialvote that is unheard of anywhere in the world.

Obed,

In civilized democracies, the citizenry is called upon after every few years to endorse the person they want to lead them.

In Kenya, we fought for these rights when Kibaki was firmly in the KANU system. Those are the times when the same Kibaki told us that removing KANU from government was like cutting a mugumo tree using a razor blade.

Those are also the times Kibaki moved a motion in parliament making Kenya a one party dictatorship.

When we had him elected president courtesy of Raila Amolo Odinga, we thought the man could change having been in the opposition for 10 years.

But alas, the man has not changed.

He does not know that when the people speak, you obey. He does not seem to know that it is the people who bestow leadership. He thinks that leadership is retained by the barrel of the gun.

If that was the case, then there was no point of wasting our time lining up that we wanted to elect a president of our choice. He would have just told us that he will continue being our president for the next five years by force; a palace coup.

Kenyans must hence come out and install Raila as our next president.

We have spoken and that is final.
