Arrest Ruto? Beginning of Civil War in Kenya

    Date: Sun, 13 Jan 2008 00:30:32 -0800 (PST)

It is true Bob our people have refused to learn. All what Agikuyu are facing today is not a mistake of this generation that is suffering. I keep on telling our people that any injustice direted to people will always come back to whoever commit it or his own people however long it will take.

We are paying the price of injustices committed toother Kenyan's communities by Kenyatta and his henchmen of 1960s. For instance What is happening is Kalemjins were aggrieved by Kenyatta's action to take Kikuyus to take their land some by forced eviction. Nothing can rub this fact from them. The settlement of Kikuyus were not done well to be sincere and this has been the issue in Rift Valley, no one wants to address the truth. The land in uestion were White settlement which were suppose to benefit the locals but Kenyatta played it dirty.

In Luo Nyanza the killing of Tom Mboya by Kenyatta and his people and subsequent killing of hudreds in Kisumu in 1969 during the opening of Nynaza Hospital as well as frustration of Odinga is the borne of contention between the Kikuyu and Luos. The differences between the Luo was obvious and that why you never get many Kikuyu's in Luo Nyanza.

In the Coast, Kenyatta, Matiba, Kibaki among prominent Kikuyus own almost a third of Coast land. Just have a look at Coastal strip with beautiful hotels, they all belong to Kikyus with local reduced to squarters. This is the bitterness.

In Luhya, the fustration of their leaders  such as Shikuku, Pro. Mashinde and Muliro Mashinde are reason why supporting a Kikuyu is a long task by Westerners. I don't understand wy Kikuyus are not recognising their leaders roles in polarising the relation with other tribes. Even those handful leaders from other communities who are supporting Kibaki are just there to "EAT" not that they like him. They don't represent or have their communities interest at hand. So if anybody is to be investigated and prosecuted, it must start with kenyatta's era. Otherwise I think this the beggining of "CIVIL WAR IN KENYA"

The person who should be charged is Kibaki! He is a master criminal who has caused the deaths of many Kenyans! He who does not understand that is also a criminal, pure and simple!

One of the things that disturbs me the most is why the members of so-called GEMA tribes keep on supporting Kibaki directly or indirectly with the type of statements like what Mwangi has posted! What such statements lead to is more ethnic cleansing! Prosecution of Ruto will simply harden the Kales determination to "finish off" the Agikuyu in Rift Valley! Is this what Mwangi wants?

Migosi Mwangi

That will only help to cement his hold in the area. It will be difficult to prove the case. In court you cannot be anonymous. The witnesses will change their stories once their identies are known. Kenyatta killed JM Kariuki yet no one could come out and testify. Same case with Mboya and the same with Ouko.

Investigators are currently compiling evidence against the politician and other suspects and would soon prefer charges against them.

According to a senior police source, a witness has already recorded a statement detailing the politician's activities prior to the outbreak of the violence.

The revelation came as Police Spokesman Eric Kiraithe told journalists yesterday that 64 suspects who were arrested countrywide in connection with the violence will be arraigned in court next week. The chaos has so far claimed about 500 lives and displaced over 300,000 people.

However, he said that there had been no reported incidents of violence in the last 24 hours and all roads have been opened as normalcy slowly returns in the affected regions.

According to Mr Kiraithe, teams of investigators will gather evidence against those who participated in the violence.

"Special teams have been formed to gather and assemble evidence against all persons who were suspected to have taken part in the commission of crimes including murder, robbery with violence, arson, malicious damage to property and breach of peace. Persons to be investigated include those who took part in the actual commission of the offence, those who aided and abetted, those who procured and enabled those who incited others to commit the offences," Mr Kiraithe said in a statement he read on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Major-General Mohammed Hussein Ali.

Mr Kiraithe said the force will continue to give special attention to areas affected by instability to assist locals resume their day-to-day activities.

He said police in Mombasa have recovered several stolen items and handed them back to their owners.

Meanwhile, the police and the Kenya Railways Corporation have offered a Sh 50,000 cash reward to any person with information on the whereabouts of sections of the railway line vandalised over a week ago.

Any person who gives information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators will be rewarded, the police said in a notice published in daily newspapers.
