BAND-AID FIX IS NOT ENOUGH

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Even as Kofi Annan continues to mediate a solution for the political impasse that has caused so much suffering in Kenya, I would like the team to bear one thing in mind. Kenya needs is a formula that will establish a long-term solution.

A band-Aid fix is just that. Band-Aid.

A long-term solution must steer away from appeasing either party and endeavor to find a political solution that will bring "calm" and "peace". A side from that I am afraid that the deep wound that was created by the good people of Kenya being politically raped will not heal with a superficial "dressing".

Justice is the nucleus of the solution. "Peace" minus justice is dead.

In my estimation some of the direction that the mediation team has started to take is not remedial. That is considering my rumor source is credible.

One thing sounds promising: All parties must condemn violence and do it right away. However for more a permanent truce, the voters must get a feeling that their initial concerns (political rape) has been adequately addressed. This cancer is not on the surface. Surgery with precision is required.

Please tread softly and carefully. Take out all the cancer cells by all means. Cancer metastasizes with certain opportunistic and preferent conditions. Kenya is right now at the point where political leaders, spiritual leaders and citizens must allow the spirit of forgiveness whisk freely in abundance. Let us not make killings the order of the day. Citizens must stop using the political rap to settle old scores.

Kibaki is number one in the list of those men ands women who must take full responsibility and find a way to restore some sanity in out beloved country. Stop pointing fingers at ODM alone. ODM must not waver in standing up for peace.
