WORK FOR PEACE, SHUN HATE! "KENYA WILL ARISE"

Kenya Will come out of Shackles!!  Uganda did!! South Africa did .... We shall overcome

It is indeed troubling to see how much our country has tilted and let the struggling class slip down the cracks. It is for this reason that our democracies stand shaken and fthe uture is bleak for all Kenyans. Amidst these difficult times caused by so called rigged elections, different sentiments have filled the air and our ears keep ringing "Save Our Beloved Nation" Every Kenyan remembers of what significance 1963 brought to our lives. "Oh God of all creation, bless this land .... Peace, Love & Unity ....." These values we have held so dear have been eroded by greed for power, search for ethnic identity and little or no love for man and God.

Considering the articles, comments and letters surfaced to attract the Kenyan eye and the world at large, I'm shocked at how much we need to work for brotherhood.  Kenyatta was and lives in the past, and so does Moi. Kibaki will follow the same route. But why so much bitterness the innocent ethnicity in the name of democracy? Anyone writing and surfacing these articles, didn't the cries of the innocent mothers and theirs kids ring in someone's heart as they perished in frames?? To cause chant for PEACE! Where did they go wrong, what part did Kibaki play in their lives? Butchered are hard working families struggling to make ends meet and trying to co-exist. Most had gone beyond ethnic boundaries and intermarried, now they are forced to separate or even butchered in the name of PEACE. Why is no one there willing to address the humanitarian grounds. How quick do people forget how it was for Bush and Al Gore. Americans walked to work the same day after election but soon history will rewrite itself.

If Peace means loss of human life, then we need to rethink because many are hurting. Ten of my close friends some who are close relatives are now butchered never to see the sun rise eternally, some whom are kids.  Others are left with no parents and yet others never to see their sons and daughters, Amen.  I am not a lone in this yet I'm a Kikuyu who wants peace and no revenge. I don't condone any Kikuyu taking revenge or even orchestrating the act of blood shed. But I am astonished that regardless of how harmless I could be I may not walk out from some areas alive.  Yes, other communities could feel the same and this is the reality. I benefit Zero from Kibaki but remain a victim of broken brotherhood. Someone says communities were shipped to safety, but never be cheated they have been kicked out of their homes and are weeping and hurting as we spread hate on-line. They once knew home existed but are now refugees in their own mother land. Is this what you call favor? East West Home is the best. What We are planting in our generations to is a seed of hate in the name of Democracy. Both sides stole yet no one is willing to lament this. Yes, one side may have stolen more or the other side a wiser thief.

Kibaki is now naming his cabinet and we whether we like it or not, this is the reality. Is it fair?  Yes and no. Will tribalism die by giving in to majorities wish?  Surely no, but this could start from any one of us who can touch a heart by running positive message of hope than forwarding and composing hate and propaganda.  Democracy in Africa as a whole is still a distance away and we are soon getting there. This will be a process and not a big bang theory. Yet with the spirit of division and tribalism, we are all going to die having seen no peace or democracy and we remain to blame especially if we play hate cards. I want the best for Kenya just like you all do and I actually care less for Kibaki or Raila.

You all know deep inside your guts how much love or hate you have towards another community. I would not change your view but leave you to give peace a genuine thought. I wonder why America stays united regardless of injustice,  different views of color, yet Kenya, a country the size of Texas, can stand all the hate and bloodshed in the name of peace and democracy. We all are all Kenyans and should perpetuate a message of  real peace and healing and not empty articles full of fake advice on how to co-exist fulfillment of hate picture painting which everyone forwards like to their communities with intentions well known by God. I terribly hurt and pray for Kenya to propagate brotherhood a heavy duty yet the most noble thing to do.
