Kenyan first

As a country, we have gone through a huge trauma. It's been bloody, painful, ugly, scarring, and above all it will take a while to heal.

However, like all else in this beautiful World God gave us, there is always double consequences to all actions of human pursuit - no matter how painful. We have a chance to renew our togetherness and that spirit of freedom that we all so hold dear. We might have lost our way temporarily, but we have not lost our map and compass.

It is important that all patriots and moderates come out and speak loudly of the need to re-establish our bonds that we so took for granted. The sober and visionaries have allowed themselves to be silenced by the short-sighted hate preachers. The minority who seek violent short-term and seemly simple solutions to very complex issues have taken over, to the detriment of all Kenyans around the world. We need to wake up and realise that Kenya is bigger than any individual or tribe. We have foreigners salivating at the doorsteps of our hard won freedom, disguising themselves as healers, while we all know they are the bearers of our internal wounds.

Where have all true Kenyans gone? Are we all so pre-occupied with some tribal mirages that we've become foolish enough to throw away our country trying to reach them? FOR WHAT???? Foreigners are busy scheming against us and all we can see are our superficial differences, which amount to nothing in the grand scheme of things. We need to think deep and hard. A lot of bad things have happened in our country. We've hurt each other terribly. Guess what? If we don't lower our tribal flags and raise our national flag, we are in for worse pain and suffering.

Please Kenyans, let us all unite under our national flag. Tribes are a primitive form of identity. I am Kenyan first and whatever else later in whichever order!!!
